Eggy Fishing & Aquarium combines relaxing fishing, collecting, progression, tackle management and aquarium building into one interactive XenForo experience.
Choose your destination, prepare your tackle, cast out and see what bites.
Every catch contributes towards a wider progression loop, whether you're trying to discover new species, improve your equipment, unlock new fishing locations or build up your aquarium collection.
The aim is to create something that's genuinely enjoyable to jump into for a few minutes while still giving players plenty to work towards over time.
Included with Eggy Subscription

Eggy Fishing & Aquarium will be included with the Eggy Subscription.
An active Eggy Subscription gives subscribers access to all included Eggy products, including products already available when they subscribe and future included products released during their subscription period.
This means active subscribers will be able to access Eggy Fishing & Aquarium without needing to purchase it separately.

The subscription itself provides the entitlement to download and use included products. It does not create a separate permanent purchase or individual licence for every product downloaded through the subscription.

The fishing experience has been designed to feel like an actual game rather than a standard XenForo page with a fishing action attached to it.
Your fishing screen brings the important parts of the experience together in one place:
- Current rod
- Current reel
- Equipped bait
- Remaining bait
- Player progression
- Current fishing destination
- Recent catches
- Fishing activity and results
- Music and sound controls
Everything stays close to the action so you can concentrate on fishing rather than constantly moving between different pages.
Catch & Collect
The heart of the experience is the fish themselves.
Eggy Fishing & Aquarium will feature a growing collection of species to discover, giving players something meaningful to chase rather than simply repeating the same fishing action.
Your recent catches remain visible during your fishing session, making it easy to see what you've landed.
The collection system also creates room for much deeper progression around:
- Different fish species
- Rarity
- Fishing destinations
- Equipment
- Progression
- Future challenges and rewards
A great catch shouldn't appear once and then disappear into a statistics page.
It should become part of your collection.
Build Your Tackle Setup
Your fishing equipment forms an important part of the wider progression system.
Rod
Your currently equipped fishing rod.
Reel
The reel paired with your setup.
Bait
Your currently equipped bait and the amount remaining.
Different equipment will give players reasons to improve and change their setup as they progress.
Bait is also treated as an actual resource. When you run out, you'll need to restock rather than having an unlimited supply sitting in the background.
As the economy develops, choosing and maintaining your tackle becomes part of the fishing loop itself.
Discover New Fishing Destinations
You won't be fishing in the same place forever.
Eggy Fishing & Aquarium includes multiple fishing destinations, each with its own visual identity and atmosphere.
Locations form part of progression, with additional waters becoming available as players advance.
Rather than simply changing a location name above the same interface, destinations are being designed to feel like genuinely different places to fish.
Progression through destinations gives players:
- New environments to discover
- New fishing goals
- Additional progression milestones
- Different collections to work towards
- More reasons to continue levelling
Somewhere familiar might be perfect for a relaxed session, while later destinations can offer something new to chase.
Build Your Aquarium
Catching the fish is only half of the experience.
Eggy Fishing & Aquarium also includes a dedicated aquarium system where your collection becomes something you can actually see and develop.
Rather than catches disappearing into a database after you've caught them, your aquarium gives them somewhere to live.
The aim is for your aquarium to gradually develop alongside your fishing progression.
Fish you've caught can become part of a collection you're actually able to see and enjoy.
Rare or favourite catches therefore have a purpose beyond appearing once in a fishing result.
Progression
Fishing feeds into a much broader progression system.
Your activity can contribute towards areas including:
- Player levels
- Destination unlocks
- Equipment progression
- Collection growth
- Aquarium development
- Economy progression
- Future fishing challenges and rewards
The goal is to make every fishing session feel like you're working towards something rather than simply generating random catches.
Economy
A proper economy system is also being developed around the fishing experience.
This will connect areas such as:

- Aquarium development
The economy is one of the major supporting systems being completed ahead of release and will give the wider experience considerably more depth.
Relax and Fish
Not every game needs to be intensely competitive.
Eggy Fishing & Aquarium is deliberately being designed around a more relaxed style of play.
Different environments, fishing animations, music and sound controls all contribute towards an experience you can casually jump into whenever you want.
You might spend a couple of minutes casting while browsing the community, or stay longer while trying to find that one fish you've been chasing.
That's the kind of energy the game is being built around.
Community & ACP Control
The administration side is an important part of the release too.
Eggy Fishing & Aquarium is being developed with proper ACP control so community owners aren't simply handed a completely fixed game.
Administration and configuration will cover the wider systems required to operate the fishing experience, including progression, economy and supporting game behaviour.
The goal is a complete customer release rather than frontend gameplay sitting on top of unfinished administration systems.
Built to Feel Like a Game
One of the biggest design goals has been avoiding the feeling of a normal XenForo content page.
Fishing, destinations, equipment and the aquarium receive their own visual presentation while continuing to operate properly within XenForo.
When somebody enters Eggy Fishing & Aquarium, it should feel like they've opened a small game inside the community.
Not just another content page.

Development will continue throughout September while the remaining progression, economy, administration and final polish work is completed.

More previews will be shared as the remaining systems come together.
