How to Reset a Forgotten Password

Requesting the reset
For privacy and security, the page may show a general confirmation even when it cannot confirm publicly whether a particular account exists.
After resetting the password
Use the new password for:
Your IRC client may still have the old password saved. Update the saved BNC connection password before reconnecting.
Do not change the password manually elsewhere
Use the official reset flow so the website account and live BNC account remain synchronised.
Manual password changes through old or unsupported ZNC controls can leave the two systems with different credentials.
Reset links are private
A password-reset link grants access to the password-change process.

- Open the password-recovery page.
- Enter your BNC username or registered email address.
- Select Send reset link.
- Check the inbox belonging to the account.
- Open the reset link and choose a new password.
