Upcoming Eggy Add-on Updates
I've pushed quite a lot out over the last few days, so I'm going to slow down on brand-new add-ons for a bit and spend some time improving and expanding what is already available.
There are a few updates planned across the current Eggy Add-ons catalogue, including further polish, fixes where needed and some additional features based on how people are actually using the tools.
Eggy RPG — Guild System
The next major RPG feature I'm planning to start work on is a proper Guild system.
The intention is for this to be a real gameplay system rather than just a guild name attached to a player.
Initial plans include things such as:
Once the core system is in place, there is plenty of room to expand it further with things such as guild quests, shared rewards, rankings, events and other guild-based gameplay.
Development on the first Guild implementation is planned to begin on Tuesday.
Prefix & Banner Styler
I'll continue refining the visual styling tools as they get used on real XenForo installations.
The aim is to keep improving the live preview, generated
Thread Style Studio
Thread Style Studio will also continue to receive polish around thread appearance controls, live previews, assignment rules and member-facing thread styling.
This one has a lot of potential for communities that want to use styled threads for things such as:
Forum Icon Maker
Forum Icon Maker is in a good place feature-wise, so future updates here will mostly focus on usability, compatibility and any useful improvements that become obvious from real-world use.
I'm going to let the current add-ons breathe for a little while instead of constantly throwing new products into the catalogue.
The focus now is on making the existing tools better and continuing to build out Eggy RPG properly.
