Username, Network Name and Password Errors
The BNC connection password field contains three separate parts:
A mistake in any part can prevent the connection.
Username
Use the exact username shown in your dashboard.
Capitalisation may matter.
For example:
should not automatically be changed to:
Network name
The network name is the label stored in your Eggy BNC dashboard.
Examples may include:
Use your actual dashboard network name rather than guessing it from the IRC server hostname.
Password
Use your current Eggy BNC account password.
If you recently changed or reset the password, your IRC client may still have the previous password saved.
Update the saved connection before reconnecting.
